Finally, a World of Hyatt Promo worth using

Hyatt has just announced their most recent points promotion. The full terms and conditions of the promotion are as follows: The basics of the promotion are as follows: Members receive either 500 or 1,000 points per qualifying night for stays between February 15 and May 15, 2018, depending on the property at which you stay. Hyatt Place or Hyatt House properties earn 500 bonus points per night, while all other Hyatt properties earn 1,000 points. • My experience trying for an upgrade — UNSUCCESSFUL

Last week I wrote about the things I look for when booking a hotel (for personal travel). Out of all the things that hotels offer on the surface, there is so much more if you dig a bit deeper. Being a classic millenial, I think that I deserve the finer things in life — and what that means is upgrades to First Class on planes, and upgrades to suites at hotels. Due to Marriott’s merger with SPG,  SPG’s Crossover Rewards program with Delta, and Marriott’s RewardsPlus program with United you basically get 4 statuses with one. An incredibly beneficial offer if you can…

  • My 2018 Goals: Elite Statuses

As a follow-up to the previous post about my goals for 2018 credit cards, I now want to talk about my goals for achieving or maintaining elite status. As I mentioned, 2017 was my first full year chasing credit card points and accumulating miles. With that came the chance to earn a lot of really valuable elite statuses. I want to quickly go over what I received this year in terms of elite status, and where I intend to focus my business for the year ahead. 2017 Elite Status Inventory Marriott Platinum: Through work travel I was able to easily accumulate Marriott nights. In order to get to Platinum quicker…
