Finally, a World of Hyatt Promo worth using

Hyatt has just announced their most recent points promotion. The full terms and conditions of the promotion are as follows:


The basics of the promotion are as follows:

  • Members receive either 500 or 1,000 points per qualifying night for stays between February 15 and May 15, 2018, depending on the property at which you stay.
    • Hyatt Place or Hyatt House properties earn 500 bonus points per night, while all other Hyatt properties earn 1,000 points.
  • There are no restrictions on the booking period, it is only required that you check-out between the time period. Theoretically, you could check-in before the 15th, then check out after and receive the bonus. This works on the flip side too, so if you check-in during the promotion period but check-out after you will not receive the bonus.
  • Retroactive bonus points will be awarded, so long as you register for the promotion by March 31, 2018.
  • You can earn a maximum of 25,000 bonus points from this promotion.
  • With Hyatt’s new policy that award nights are counted as qualifying nights, both paid and redeemed nights will earn you bonus points from this promotion.

Since there are no restrictions on when you register and when you earn, you just need to make sure you register by March 31, 2018.


I find World of Hyatt points to be incredibly valuable, especially in comparison to other Hotel programs points. So this is an awesome opportunity to earn some really valuable points if you have an upcoming stay at a Hyatt property. Even if you don’t have any stays upcoming, I would definitely lean towards a Hyatt property based on this current promotion.

For me this is a welcome surprise, because I have never seen such a lucrative promotion introduced by Hyatt. In an increasingly competitive hotel business, these promotions are pretty standard at this point, so I think it is just another move by World of Hyatt to match the industry standard and potentially draw in more customers since the negative attention brought on by the introduction of World of Hyatt.

I do have to admit that I am a bit biased, as the current hotel I use for business is a Hyatt, but either way I believe this is an incredibly value opportunity.
